What are Beclate Rotacaps 200? Beclate Rotacaps 200 are a prescription asthma preventer.
Each rotacap holds beclate rotacaps 400 micrograms of beclometasone dipropionate.
Beclometasone dipropionate is a corticosteroid, or steroid.
They are made by Cipla Ltd. in Solan, India.
The capsule contains a fine powder, not a liquid.
It is used with a Rotahaler inhaler device.
Preventative treatment of asthma.
Mild asthma needing a reliever regularly.
Moderate asthma that is unstable or worsening.
Severe chronic asthma.
Some patients on steroid tablets can reduce or stop them.
It is not indicated for relief of acute bronchospasm.
It is for breathing in only, not for swallowing or skin use.
How Beclate Works (Mechanism of Action) The action happens in five simple steps:
In asthma, the airway lining becomes inflamed and swollen.
Inflamed airways make extra mucus and react to triggers.

A critical point about beclometasone doses:
Doses are not interchangeable between different devices.
The US aerosol is dosed at 40 to 320 micrograms twice daily.

Breathe in deeply and steadily through your mouth.
Hold your breath for a few seconds, then breathe out.
Check the capsule is empty; repeat the inhalation if not.
Remove and discard the empty capsule shell.
Rinse your mouth with water afterwards and spit it out.
Use it at the same times each day, usually morning and evening.
Keep using it even when you have no symptoms.
Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
Keep the Rotahaler clean and dry.
Always keep your reliever inhaler with you as well.
Precautions Do Not Use Beclate Rotacaps: If you are allergic to beclometasone or any ingredient.
If you are allergic to lactose or milk protein.
To relieve a sudden asthma attack.
By swallowing the capsule.
On the skin, in the nose or in the eyes.
In children below the age stated on your pack.
Tell Your Doctor Before Use If You Have: Tuberculosis, now or in the past.
Any current chest or lung infection.
A weakened immune system.
Liver problems.
