What is Sildigra Soft 50 mg?

  • Sildigra Soft 50 delivers 50 mg of sildenafil in a chewable tablet.

  • Sildenafil is the original PDE-5 inhibitor, approved in 1998.

  • It is the molecule inside Viagra.

  • RSM Enterprises of India manufactures and exports this brand.

  • The tablet is mint flavoured and chewed rather than swallowed whole.

  • No water is required, which suits men who dislike swallowing pills.

  • A blister of 10 tablets is the standard pack.

  • The Sildigra family also includes 25 mg and Sildigra Soft100 mg strengths.

  • The label names 50 mg as the recommended dose for most men.

  • Sildenafil differs from tadalafil here, where the entry dose is much smaller.

  • From 50 mg a doctor can move up to 100 mg or down to 25 mg.

  • The decision rests on how well it worked and how well it was tolerated.

  • In trials, 74 percent of men on 50 mg reported improved erections.

  • On placebo the figure was 24 percent.

  • Moving to 100 mg lifted that to 82 percent, but side effects rose too.

  • It improves blood flow into the penis when you are aroused.

  • The result is an erection that comes more easily and holds better.

  • Trial diaries showed roughly two thirds of attempts succeeding.

  • On placebo, roughly one fifth succeeded.

What it does not do

  • It produces nothing at all without sexual stimulation.

  • It does not create desire, and it does not raise libido.

  • It does not delay ejaculation or extend how long sex lasts.

  • It does not alter penis size or shape.

  • It does not affect sperm movement or shape.

  • Less than one thousandth of a percent of the dose reaches semen.

  • It does not cure the cause of the problem.

  • It offers no protection against HIV or other infections.

  • It is not for women, and not for anyone under 18.

How It Works (Mechanism of Action)

  • Sexual stimulation releases nitric oxide into the erectile tissue.

  • Nitric oxide switches on an enzyme called guanylate cyclase.

  • That enzyme raises levels of a messenger called cGMP.

  • cGMP relaxes the smooth muscle inside the corpus cavernosum.

  • Relaxed muscle lets blood flow in and fill the tissue.

  • An enzyme called PDE-5 continuously degrades cGMP.

  • Sildenafil inhibits PDE-5, so cGMP survives longer.

  • The erection therefore forms more readily and lasts longer.

Two facts the label states directly

  • Sildenafil has no direct relaxing effect on erectile tissue by itself.

  • At recommended doses it has no effect without sexual stimulation.

  • The drug amplifies a natural process. It does not replace one.

Why sildenafil causes blue-tinged vision more often

  • PDE-5 has relatives elsewhere in the body.

  • PDE-6 lives in the retina and handles light signalling.

  • Sildenafil is only about 10 times more selective for PDE-5 than PDE-6.

  • Tadalafil, by comparison, is 700 times more selective.

  • That narrow margin is why colour changes are commoner with sildenafil.

  • At 50 mg, 2 men in 100 reported them. At 100 mg, 11 in 100 did.

  • The effect is mild, temporary and peaks alongside blood levels.

  • Men describe a blue or green tinge, glare sensitivity, or slight blurring.

  • Testing found no change to visual sharpness or eye pressure.

Heart selectivity

  • PDE-3 governs how forcefully the heart contracts.

  • Sildenafil is roughly 4,000 times more selective for PDE-5 than PDE-3.

  • That wide margin limits direct effects on heart muscle.

  • It does not remove the blood pressure effect, which is separate.

Absorption, and why fat matters here

  • Absorption is rapid. Peak levels arrive in 30 to 120 minutes.

  • Sixty minutes is the median.

  • Roughly 41 percent of a dose reaches the bloodstream.

  • A high-fat meal delays that peak by about 60 minutes.

  • It also cuts the peak level by about 29 percent.

  • This is a real difference from tadalafil, which food does not affect.

  • Both sildenafil and its active metabolite clear with a half-life near 4 hours.

  • The liver handles this, mainly via CYP3A4 with CYP2C9 as a minor route.

  • About 80 percent leaves in stool, about 13 percent in urine.

How to Take It

  • Confirm with a doctor that 50 mg suits your circumstances.

  • Check the blister is sealed and the expiry date has not passed.

  • Chew the tablet thoroughly before swallowing it.

  • No water is needed, though you may drink some if you prefer.

  • Aim for about one hour before sex. That is when it works best.

  • Anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours ahead is acceptable.

  • Skip the heavy fatty meal beforehand if you can.

  • Let arousal happen. The tablet does nothing without it.

  • Take one only, and none again for 24 hours.

The fatty meal point, in practice

  • Fried food, rich curries, cheese-heavy dishes and creamy sauces all count.

  • Eating one of those first pushes the peak back roughly an hour.

  • It also lowers that peak by around a third.

  • The tablet still works. It simply works later and less strongly.

  • A lighter meal, or an empty stomach, gives the most reliable result.

  • This is worth telling customers. Many blame the tablet for a heavy dinner.

Realistic expectations on the timing

  • The effect is measurable for up to about 4 hours.

  • It is noticeably stronger near the 2-hour mark than at 4 hours.

  • This is a shorter window than tadalafil offers, and that is by design.

  • It suits men who prefer a medicine that clears quickly.

  • It suits planned occasions less well than an all-weekend option would.

  • There is no schedule here, so nothing can be missed.

  • Never take a second tablet because the first seemed weak.

  • Doses far above the maximum produced the same effects, more often and more severely.

  • If you have swallowed several, go to a hospital emergency department.

  • Dialysis does not help, because sildenafil binds tightly to blood proteins.

Precautions

Absolute contraindications

  • Any nitrate medicine, taken regularly or occasionally.

  • Nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate and isosorbide dinitrate all qualify.

  • Sprays, patches and ointments qualify equally.

  • Street nitrites known as poppers, including amyl and butyl nitrite.

  • Riociguat, or any other guanylate cyclase stimulator.

  • Known allergy to sildenafil or to anything in the tablet.

  • Situations where a doctor has judged sex itself unsafe for your heart.

  • Use by women, or by anyone under 18.

Tell your doctor about

  • Any heart attack, angina, irregular heartbeat or heart failure.

  • Heart surgery within the past six months.

  • Raised pressure in the lung arteries.

  • Any stroke, at any time.

  • Blood pressure that is low, or high and uncontrolled.

  • A penis that is bent or structurally unusual.

  • Any past erection lasting beyond four hours.

  • Sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma or leukaemia.

  • Retinitis pigmentosa, which runs in families.

  • Any episode of severe vision loss, particularly NAION.

  • Bleeding problems, or a history of stomach ulcers.

  • Liver problems of any severity.

  • Kidney problems, or dialysis treatment.

  • Every medicine you take, prescription or otherwise.

Food, drink and other substances

  • Avoid a high-fat meal in the hour before your dose.

  • Grapefruit juice raises sildenafil levels. Avoid it.

  • On alcohol, the evidence is narrower than people assume.

  • A study gave sildenafil 50 mg with alcohol at 0.5 g per kilogram.

  • Blood alcohol reached about 0.08 percent.

  • Sildenafil did not worsen alcohol’s effect on blood pressure.

  • No postural dizziness was reported in that study.

  • The 100 mg dose was never tested this way, so caution still applies.

  • Alcohol independently makes erections harder to achieve.

  • Never combine this tablet with poppers. See the contraindications.

Before-use checklist

  • Do I have a prescription from a doctor who knows my history?

  • Am I certain I take no nitrate in any form, including a spray?

  • Am I free of riociguat and of poppers?

  • Am I under 65, with healthy liver and kidneys?

  • If not, has my doctor considered starting me at 25 mg?

  • Am I stable on any alpha-blocker I take?

  • Am I clear of erythromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole and ritonavir?

  • Has my heart been judged fit for sexual activity?

  • Have I avoided a heavy fatty meal this evening?

  • Has a full 24 hours passed since my last tablet?

  • Do I know which symptoms mean stop and get help?

  • Flushing affects roughly one in five at this strength too.

  • Indigestion climbs steeply above 50 mg, from 9 percent to 17.

  • Vision changes climb even more steeply, from 2 percent to 11.

  • Those two columns are the strongest argument for not jumping to 100 mg.

  • Across trials, 2.5 percent of men stopped because of side effects.

  • On placebo, 2.3 percent stopped. The difference was not significant.

  • Show your doctor a written list of everything you take.

Emergency Warning Signs

Stop and seek urgent medical help if any of these occur:

  • An erection that has not gone after four hours.

  • Four hours is the point of action. Do not wait for pain.

  • Untreated, this can permanently damage the penis and end potency.

  • Sudden loss of vision in one eye or both.

  • Sudden loss or reduction of hearing, with or without ringing.

  • Chest pain, dizziness or nausea after starting sex. Stop at once.

  • Fainting, or feeling you are about to faint.

  • Slurred speech, facial droop or weakness on one side.

  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

  • A spreading rash, particularly with blistering or peeling.

  • A seizure.

Why Choose Sildigra Soft 50 mg

What genuinely holds up

  • 50 mg is the dose the label recommends for most men.

  • No compromise is involved in starting here.

  • 74 percent of men on 50 mg reported improved erections in trials.

  • The placebo figure was 24 percent.

  • Sildenafil has the longest safety record of any ED drug, since 1998.

  • Over 3,700 patients took it in pre-marketing trials alone.

  • It worked across organic, psychological and mixed causes.

  • In diabetes-related ED, 57 percent reported improvement versus 10 on placebo.

  • After spinal cord injury, 83 percent reported improvement versus.

  • After radical prostatectomy, 43 percent improved versus 15.

  • Chewing removes the need for water, which some men strongly prefer.

  • The mint flavour masks the taste of the drug.

  • The 4-hour window suits men who want a medicine that clears quickly.

  • 25 mg and 100 mg exist in the same brand, so the dose can be adjusted.

What does not hold up

  • The claim of nil side effects is false. See Section 6 for the real figures.

  • No published study shows this chewable absorbs faster than a tablet.

  • It does not affect libido, despite one page saying so.

  • It is not FDA approved as a brand, though the molecule is.

  • The shorter window is a genuine trade-off, not purely an advantage.

Storage Instructions

  • Store at 25 °C. Brief excursions from 15 to 30 °C are permitted.

  • The patient leaflet gives a narrower range of 20 to 25 °C.

  • Keep tablets sealed in the blister until you take one.

  • A chewable absorbs moisture more readily than a coated tablet.

  • Humidity can soften it, make it sticky, or spoil the flavour.

  • Keep it away from direct sun and heat sources.

  • Do not refrigerate, and never freeze.

  • Bathrooms and cars are the two worst storage places.

  • Keep all medicines out of children’s reach.

  • A mint-flavoured chewable can be mistaken for a sweet. Store it securely.

  • Discard tablets that are soft, discoloured, sticky or crumbling.

  • Do not use past the printed expiry date.

  • Return unwanted tablets to a pharmacy.

  • Never give them to anyone else.

Medical Disclaimer

  • General information only. Not a substitute for medical advice.

  • Sildenafil is a prescription medicine wherever it is licensed.

  • This medicine does have side effects. Any claim otherwise is false.

  • Never adjust your own dose without medical direction.

  • 100 mg is the approved ceiling for erectile dysfunction.

  • An erection lasting beyond four hours needs emergency care.

  • Tell any emergency team the exact time you took your dose.

  • The Sildigra brand is not FDA, EMA or MHRA approved.

  • Read the leaflet supplied with your own product.
