What is Femalefil 10 mg?

  • Femalefil 10 is a tablet containing 10 mg of tadalafil.

  • Tadalafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor, the molecule found in Cialis.

  • The brand is marketed to women, as the name indicates.

  • Listings name RSM Enterprises, Sunrise Remedies or a Delhi exporter.

  • No manufacturer datasheet supporting a female indication could be found.

  • Erectile dysfunction in adult men.

  • Symptoms of an enlarged prostate in adult men.

  • Raised pressure in the lung arteries, under a different brand and dose.

  • That is the complete list, in every country.

  • No female indication appears in any approval anywhere.

  • 10 mg is the dose a man begins on when treating erectile dysfunction.

  • It is raised to 20 mg only if 10 mg proves insufficient.

  • The figure was set in dose-ranging studies conducted in men.

  • It has never been tested for effectiveness or safety in women.

  • Other brands sell the same molecule to women at 20 mg.

  • Neither figure has more female evidence behind it than the other.

What tadalafil does, in anyone

  • It relaxes the smooth muscle in the walls of blood vessels.

  • Vessels widen and blood flow through them increases.

  • PDE-5 enzymes do exist in female genital tissue.

  • So a local blood flow effect in women is biologically plausible.

  • That plausibility is why the research was attempted at all.

  • The research has not settled whether it produces a useful result.

  • It cannot create sexual desire. Desire arises in the brain.

  • Tadalafil does not act on the brain pathways involved.

  • It cannot alter hormone levels of any kind.

  • It cannot restore tissue thinned by the menopause.

  • It cannot treat infection, endometriosis, fibroids or cysts.

  • It cannot relieve pain arising from any of those.

  • It cannot address anxiety, low mood or relationship difficulty.

  • It offers no protection against sexually transmitted infections.

How It Works (Mechanism of Action)

Stated correctly, because one circulating version has it backwards.

  • Sexual stimulation releases nitric oxide into genital tissue.

  • Nitric oxide prompts production of a messenger called cGMP.

  • cGMP relaxes the smooth muscle lining local blood vessels.

  • Those vessels widen and blood flow increases.

  • PDE-5 is the enzyme that breaks cGMP down.

  • Tadalafil blocks PDE-5. It does not break cGMP down itself.

  • Blocking PDE-5 means cGMP persists and the effect is sustained.

The step that limits what this can achieve

  • Look again at step one. It requires sexual stimulation to already be happening.

  • The drug amplifies a response that has already begun.

  • It cannot initiate one.

  • A woman whose difficulty is absent desire has nothing to amplify.

  • A woman whose difficulty is pain has a different problem entirely.

  • The narrow group this could theoretically help is smaller than the marketing suggests.

  • It would be a woman with normal desire and a poor physical response.

  • Even for her, the trial evidence remains unsettled.

  • All figures below come from studies in men. No female data exists.

  • Peak blood level occurs between 30 minutes and 6 hours, median 2 hours.

  • The terminal half-life is about 17.5 hours.

  • Food does not affect absorption.

  • The liver clears it, mainly through the enzyme CYP3A4.

  • Tadalafil is over 10,000 times more selective for PDE-5 than PDE-3.

  • It is 700 times more selective for PDE-5 than retinal PDE-6.

  • Colour vision changes are therefore rare, under 0.1 percent in men.

How to Take It

Practical points if a doctor has prescribed this for you.

  • Confirm the prescription is for you personally, from a doctor who knows your history.

  • Confirm the doctor knows tadalafil is not approved for women.

  • Ask whether an approved treatment would suit your particular difficulty.

  • Check the strip is sealed and within its expiry date.

  • Swallow the tablet whole with water.

  • Do not split or crush it.

  • Food makes no difference to absorption.

  • Take it about an hour before, if timing around activity.

  • Take one tablet only, and nothing further for 24 hours.

  • Ignore any review suggesting two doses per occasion.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, might become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

  • The approved label states tadalafil is not indicated for use in females.

  • Data on its use in pregnancy is limited.

  • The same applies while breastfeeding.

  • This conversation belongs before the first tablet, not after.

  • Decide in advance what improvement would actually look like for you.

  • Vague hopes are impossible to assess and easy to be disappointed by.

  • Give it several separate occasions rather than one.

  • Keep other factors steady: alcohol, tiredness, and setting.

  • If nothing changes, that is useful information for your doctor.

  • It suggests the difficulty is not one that blood flow addresses.

  • That points towards a different assessment, not a higher dose.

Precautions

These derive from the male safety data. No female safety data exists.

Absolute contraindications

  • Nitrate medicines of any kind, regular or occasional.

  • Nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate and isosorbide dinitrate.

  • Sprays, patches and ointments count as much as tablets.

  • Recreational nitrites known as poppers.

  • Riociguat or another guanylate cyclase stimulator.

  • Known serious allergy to tadalafil under any brand name.

  • Severe liver impairment, graded Child-Pugh C.

  • Anyone under 18 years of age.

Tell your doctor about

  • Pregnancy, planned pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  • Any heart condition, including rhythm problems and heart failure.

  • A heart attack or stroke in the past six months.

  • Blood pressure that is low, or high and uncontrolled.

  • Any history of fainting.

  • Liver or kidney impairment of any degree.

  • Retinitis pigmentosa or any sudden vision loss in the past.

  • Bleeding disorders or an active stomach ulcer.

  • Migraine, which vasodilators can aggravate.

  • Diabetes, which affects sexual function in women as well as men.

  • Whether you have gone through the menopause.

  • Any pain during sex, and where you feel it.

  • Any antidepressant you take, which commonly affects sexual function.

  • Every other medicine, including anything bought over a counter.

Food and drink

  • Food does not affect absorption.

  • Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, which raise tadalafil levels.

  • Keep alcohol low. Both alcohol and tadalafil widen blood vessels.

  • Together they can cause dizziness and low pressure on standing.

  • Alcohol also blunts sexual response independently.

  • Never combine this with poppers in any setting.

Before-use checklist

  • Has a doctor prescribed this to me personally, knowing I am a woman?

  • Does that doctor know tadalafil is not approved for women?

  • Have we identified which difficulty I actually have?

  • If I have pain during sex, has that been investigated properly?

  • Have we discussed the approved alternatives first?

  • Am I pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding?

  • Am I certain I take no nitrate, including a spray or patch?

  • Am I free of riociguat and of poppers?

  • Have I declared my heart, liver, kidney and eye history?

  • Has my doctor seen a full list of my medicines?

  • Do I understand what this drug cannot do?

  • Do I know the emergency signs in Section 8?

Side Effects

All figures below come from trials in men. Rates in women are unknown.

  • The 10 mg column is the relevant one for this product.

  • Headache affected about one man in nine at this dose.

  • Indigestion affected about one in twelve.

  • Rates at 10 mg are meaningfully lower than at 20 mg.

  • There is no reason to assume women are immune to these effects.

  • There is also no data showing the rates are the same in women.

  • Body size, hormone levels and drug handling all differ between sexes.

Why Choose Femalefil 10 mg

Written honestly, because the evidence does not support a sales pitch.

What can honestly be said

  • It contains tadalafil, a well-characterised molecule with 20 years of male data.

  • PDE-5 enzymes are present in female genital tissue.

  • A local blood flow effect in women is therefore biologically plausible.

  • 10 mg is a lower exposure than the 20 mg products sold for the same purpose.

  • Side effects at 10 mg were consistently lower than at 20 mg in men.

  • A doctor may reasonably choose to try it off-label in a selected patient.

  • That decision belongs to a doctor who knows the individual.

What cannot honestly be said

  • It is not approved for women anywhere in the world.

  • It is not proven to treat any female sexual difficulty.

  • It does not treat pain during sex, and should not be sold as doing so.

  • It does not increase desire, by mechanism.

  • It does not support orgasm or amplify pleasure in any proven way.

  • It has no established dose in women, at 10 mg or any other figure.

  • It has no established safety profile in women.

  • It is not a treatment for male erectile dysfunction in this packaging, whatever some listings say.

Storage Instructions

  • Keep below 30 °C.

  • US tadalafil labelling gives 25 °C, tolerating 15 to 30 °C.

  • Leave tablets sealed in the blister until use.

  • Keep away from direct sunlight, heat and damp.

  • Do not refrigerate, and never freeze.

  • Bathrooms and parked cars are the two worst places.

  • Store out of the reach of children.

  • Discard any tablet that is chipped, faded or crumbling.

  • Do not use past the printed expiry date.

  • Return unused tablets to a pharmacy.

  • Never share this medicine with anyone else.
