What is Climax Spray?

  • Climax Spray is a topical anaesthetic spray for men.

  • It contains lidocaine at 10% concentration.

  • Each metered spray delivers 5 mg of lidocaine.

  • Lidocaine is an amide-type local anaesthetic.

  • It is used to help manage premature ejaculation (PE).

  • It is applied to the head of the penis before sex.

  • It reduces sensitivity in the area it touches.

  • Reduced sensitivity can delay ejaculation.

  • It is made by Midas Care Pharmaceuticals in India.

  • It is not a tablet and is not swallowed.

  • It does not treat erectile dysfunction.

  • It does not increase sexual desire or libido.

  • It does not cure premature ejaculation.

  • It works only while the anaesthetic effect lasts.

  • It offers no protection against HIV or other STIs.

  • It is not a contraceptive.

  • Climax Spray is intended for adult men only.

  • Women and anyone under 18 must not use it.

  • Persistent PE deserves a proper medical assessment.

How It Works (Mechanism of Action)

Lidocaine works on nerve signalling in the skin:

  • Sensory nerves carry sensation from the penis to the spinal cord.

  • These nerves fire by moving sodium ions across their membranes.

  • Lidocaine blocks the sodium channels in those nerves.

  • Blocked channels cannot generate a nerve signal.

  • Fewer signals reach the spinal cord from the treated area.

  • The ejaculation reflex is triggered by these signals.

  • Reducing them raises the threshold for that reflex.

  • Ejaculation is therefore delayed.

  • The effect is local, not systemic.

  • It wears off as lidocaine clears from the skin.

Key point:

  • The effect is purely a reduction in sensation. It does not change desire, arousal, or erection quality.

Application site:

  • The glans (head) of the penis only.

Do not apply:

  • To the urethral opening, scrotum, or any broken skin.

Wipe off:

  • Clean the area before genital or oral contact.

Test first:

  • Try the lowest number of sprays on a first occasion.

Missed dose:

  • Not applicable. Used only when needed.

How to Apply It

  • Wash and dry your hands before use.

  • Shake the bottle well before each use.

  • Hold the bottle upright, 3 to 5 cm from the skin.

  • Spray the agreed number of doses onto the glans.

  • Do not spray the urethral opening directly.

  • Do not spray the scrotum or surrounding skin.

  • Rub in gently with a clean fingertip if needed.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

  • Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the effect to develop.

  • Wipe the glans with a damp cloth before contact.

  • Wiping removes surface lidocaine that could transfer.

  • Alternatively, use a condom throughout intercourse.

  • Do not apply more if the effect seems weak.

  • Wait a full 24 hours before using it again.

  • Wash the area after intercourse.

  • Do not share the bottle with anyone else.

Precautions

Absolute Contraindications – Do Not Use If You

  • Are allergic to lidocaine or lignocaine.

  • Are allergic to any amide local anaesthetic.

  • These include bupivacaine, prilocaine, and mepivacaine.

  • Have congenital or idiopathic methaemoglobinaemia.

  • Have severe liver disease or decompensated cirrhosis.

  • Have broken, cut, or inflamed skin on the penis.

  • Have an active genital infection or open sore.

  • Have severe heart block or a serious arrhythmia.

  • Take a Class I antiarrhythmic such as mexiletine.

  • Are a woman or a child.

  • Are under 18 years of age.

Do not use if your partner:

  • Is allergic to lidocaine or amide anaesthetics.

  • Is pregnant, unless a doctor has advised it is safe.

  • Has broken skin or an infection in the contact area.

Critical – broken skin:

  • Lidocaine absorbs far more readily through damaged skin. This raises the risk of systemic effects. Do not use on cuts, sores, or inflamed areas.

Conditions to Disclose to Your Doctor

Tell your doctor before use if you have or had:

  • Any allergy to local anaesthetics, including dental injections.

  • Liver disease or hepatitis of any type.

Drug Interactions – Avoid With

Do not combine:

  • Other topical anaesthetic sprays, gels, or creams.

  • Benzocaine, prilocaine, or tetracaine products.

  • Anaesthetic-coated or “delay” condoms.

  • Any other lidocaine product used at the same time.

  • Class I antiarrhythmics: mexiletine, tocainide, flecainide.

  • Amiodarone and other rhythm-control medicines.

  • Beta-blockers such as propranolol and metoprolol.

  • Cimetidine, which slows lidocaine clearance.

  • Any medicine that affects liver enzyme activity.

Medicines that raise methaemoglobinaemia risk:

  • Nitrates and nitrites, including recreational poppers.

  • Sulfonamide antibiotics.

  • Dapsone.

  • Phenytoin and phenobarbital.

  • Chloroquine and primaquine.

  • Benzocaine-containing products.

Combining with ED medicines:

  • Some men use a PDE-5 inhibitor for erectile dysfunction alongside a topical anaesthetic for premature ejaculation. This combination is sometimes appropriate, but it should be agreed with a doctor first.

Emergency Warning Signs

Stop using the product and seek medical care immediately if you experience:

Signs of systemic lidocaine absorption:

  • Numbness or tingling around the mouth or tongue.

  • A persistent metallic taste.

  • Ringing or buzzing in the ears.

  • Blurred or double vision.

  • Dizziness that does not settle.

  • Drowsiness, confusion, or slurred speech.

  • Muscle twitching or tremor.

  • A seizure or convulsion.

  • A slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat.

  • Chest pain or severe shortness of breath.

Signs of methaemoglobinaemia a medical emergency:

  • Grey or blue discolouration of the lips, nails, or skin.

  • Breathlessness that seems out of proportion.

  • Fatigue, headache, and light-headedness together.

  • Symptoms can appear hours after use.

  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing.

  • Widespread rash, hives, or blistering.

  • Severe pain or burning at the application site.

  • Blistering, ulceration, or broken skin.

  • An erection that will not subside after 4 hours.

  • Tell emergency staff you have used a lidocaine spray. State the concentration as 10% and how many sprays you used. Bring the bottle with you if you can.

Why Choose Climax Spray

Genuine advantages:

  • It works locally, within about 10 to 15 minutes.

  • No tablet needs to be swallowed or absorbed.

  • The effect is confined to where it is applied.

  • It avoids the systemic side effects of oral SSRIs.

  • It carries none of dapoxetine’s mental health contraindications.

  • There is no washout period from antidepressants.

  • Lidocaine is a very well-established anaesthetic.

  • It is used only when needed, not daily.

  • Topical anaesthetic for PE is an evidence-supported approach.

  • A lidocaine and prilocaine spray is approved in the EU.

  • The dose can be adjusted by using fewer or more sprays.

  • It can be combined with ED treatment under medical advice.

Honest limitations you should know:

  • It reduces sensation rather than improving control.

  • Some men find the loss of sensation unwelcome.

  • Excessive use can make an erection harder to maintain.

  • It transfers to a partner unless wiped off.

  • It requires a wiping or condom step before contact.

  • The effect lasts under an hour.

  • It does not treat the underlying cause of PE.

  • Climax Spray is not licensed in the UK, EU, or US.

  • It does not treat erectile dysfunction.

  • You want to preserve full sensation during sex.

  • Your partner objects to the transfer risk.

  • You have any allergy to local anaesthetics.

  • Your premature ejaculation is lifelong and severe.

  • You would prefer an oral on-demand option.

  • You want to address anxiety or relationship factors too.

Bottom line:

  • A topical anaesthetic is a reasonable first step for many men with premature ejaculation. It manages the symptom rather than the cause, and partner transfer is the practical detail to get right.
